The Rosendale is a huge pub in West Dulwich. Its front garden did not echo quality of the food an service that awaited inside, so we were commissioned to put that right.
We built a perimeter curved ‘wall’ of cedar planters to soften the building and to enclose the garden. Two huge feasting tables and log benches give one side of the garden a very vibrant, communal feel. This is offset by two banquette booths at the front of the pub, one high and one low, to give groups a bit of privacy and an air of exclusivity.
Loose custom-made steel and hardwood furniture spill across the terrace, which has been dressed in resin bound gravel.
The new garden sits exceedingly well in the landscape and has resulted in a large increase in revenue to what was already a very successful establishment.
